I came here tonight looking for an old post I wanted to quote from and found this. I hope you get in the habit again. You and Tom Taylor have always been morning coffee "must reads."

And on a personal level, hope you're doing well!

Dan

Re:

He was a true friend, always there when you needed him. He loved meeting for lunch, asking how you were and about your family. I'll always remember his warning to not spend too much time working because your kids will grow up fast and you'll miss those years. I'll miss you Paulie.

Re:

My 1st memories of Paulie: He'd show up at Radio Park, then the studios of WIBA AM&FM (the FM was, at the time, kind of Madison, Wisconsin's WXRT.) He'd grab all of the DJs he could find, drag us out to the parking lot, pop the trunk on his Cadillac and start handing out LPs. And yes, I still have many LPs with the "signature sticker."

My final memory, other than occasional encounters at the Milwaukee Broadcasters' Club: Some friends & I had a band and recorded a CD. PG kindly offered to help promote it. He said, "Look boys. My job is to cut through all the bulls**t for you. And believe me, when you've been in this business as long as I have, you have a pretty f**king sharp knife!"

A legend who'll never be duplicated. Opa, Paulie! And... memento mori, paisan.

Rick Murphy

Re:
